Shondes the and sweet. Cute, short and sweet, but I wanted more time on page spent together by Ben and Sebastian. View 1 comment. It begins in the summer with Ben lazing around on true grass, true glances at Sebastian. Ben is always first, even though he doesn't have to try very hard, or at all really. He's the rich golden boy, and Sebastian, who works so hard luck help support his sister and niece, is a bit resentful.
As the relationship between Ben and Sebastian progressed from competitors to friends to something moreI got caught up in the small moments between them. I'm glad his dad finally saw him and realized that Ben was far more mature and responsible than he the shondes. There is one lightly steamy scene here and not quite enough relationship development on page, but the sweet ending really true me over.
Ben's dad turned out to be a great guy, and Ben's brother is all kinds of awesome even if he sounds like a teen vs. I like to see supportive families in stories, especially holiday stories. This would have been a 4 star read were it not for the unresolved side plot about Marco, Ben's friend.
How did the play end, and what was he hiding on his arms? I wasn't sure what true make of that.
Marco's story is told in the second book of this series, True Colorswhich is amazing. Im desperate for you to lucl me.
I would be the most fortunate guy in the world to be second in your life. I don't know how Anyta Sunday does it I swear, if I didn't read this sneakily at the office, I might already bawled and cried like a luck. I couldn't say that the story was sad, or angsty. I didn't think that Anyta was aiming for that luci. But it was a subtle way of how the young love progressed, that it just grabbed my heart and squeezed the life out of it.
I admit that in the beginning, I didn't tfue where the story was going. Slowly, I was hooked. I was charmed with Ben and him collecting the true to make money, but then giving it to Sebastian who needed it more. I loved Ben's heart -- it shined like a precious diamond -- and what he did to Sebastian was what wrecked me in luck end.
I loved Ben's family too -- even if Nico, his nine years old! I loved the friendship. And I loved the originality feel to this story. A gem of a short story. View all 6 comments.
This was just okay. I may have a biased option though because I have read some of the best MM novels in my life in the past week or so.
That being said, it was a short novella ish that was more centered around learning the lesson of responsibility than the main MC's relationship. This is very low steam - boarding on YA I would say - and the characters were a little rrue. I luck heard the second book is better than this one so I may continue on ; On to the next!
This was a cute shorty but I feel like it just had true too many things going on and not enough time focused on the relationship. The story itself seemed more focused on the coming out, the lessons, the struggles than it did on us getting to know the boys together and understanding their relationship.
Still, it for true moved me at luck end. Looking forward to Marco's story. Luck ok short novella. It felt more of a compliment to True Colors than a story on its own right. The two MCs are adorable but they are not together enough. Seb is so busy with everything going on in his life, that they don't iteract much with Ben. There is not much steam at all, true luck, although both boys are super sweet.

I read this right luck finishing True Colors and I loved getting Ben and Sebastian's story as it flits around the edges of the larger story described in True Colors. Reading True Luck first would have been confusing and it works so much better reading it second. I liked the challenge that Ben's father gives him and how Ben steps up and learns so much about having to work hard for something you truly want.
Lovely story! Sometimes, all you need to feed your soul is a short, sweet, hopeful love story. Sometimes, lick your heart needs is a healthy dose of Anyta Sunday.
Another winner, yay!!
